IS IT TRUE THAT WE CAMP?
An emphasis on "re-wilding" definitely makes up a part of the success of our programs. It's a return to nature, to ourselves. So yes, whether you're a camping or outdoors aficionado or have never camped in your life, we've got your back. You'll find yourself loving sleeping out under the stars and getting a bit closer to the natural world, even if that means you find a couple ants in your tent now and again.
HOW MUCH ARE WE MEDITATING?
Generally, for our entry level programs, we meditate from between 10-20 minutes. We start you off nice and slow, maybe just with 5-10 minutes of guided meditation and we build from there. If you're an avid meditator, you'll find plenty of opportunities to stay longer, diving deeper in the presence of other meditation-lovers. Meditation does so many amazing things for us: what better time than now to start your daily practice or get re-inspired by the practice of others?
HOW DOES COVID AFFECT US?
Covid laws, restrictions, and regulations are practically in constant flux. However, we are fully confident that we can run this summer. By following some of the outlined guidelines, we believe we can keep all of our participants safe. It's helpful that we are camping in the fresh air, as well as the fact that many of our classes are outside. This year we are asking our participants to come with the results of the Covid quick test within 24 hours of their arrival, which is purchasable at your local pharmacy for €20.
WHAT IF I CAN'T AFFORD THE COST BUT REALLY WANT TO ATTEND?
We know it's been a tough year for many, and that money can be an issue for many young adults who haven't yet established themselves in the world. That's why we're committed to helping those who are truly passionate about attending to find a way, whether via installment plans or by finding friends and family who are willing to help fund attendance. We have a limited scholarship base, but please reach out to us if your heart is a big yes even if your pocket book is balking.
IS ALL THE FOOD VEGETARIAN?
Yes! All food offered will be lacto-vegetarian, meaning we don't eat any kind of meat, fish or foul, but eggs & other dairy, and lots of delicious vegg, fresh fruit & grains, legumes and other cereals. We can cater to vegan and gluten-free diets, but please let us know more specifically what your dietary preferences and needs are beforehand. We aim to provide the most nutritious whole food plant-based and even organic fare whenever possible. Simple, nutritious & filling: that is our motto.
IS THIS A RELAXING, MELLOW RETREAT?
The short answer is no. By design, this program is super active. We usually wake up at 6.00 and go to bed at 23.00. We'll have you constantly engaged to challenge your mind as to what's possible when you put out more energy than you're used to! From sunrise to sunset, you and the rest of the crew will be busy bunnies. Busy with joy and enthusiasm for all the incredible activities we have planned. It can be tiring at one point, but nothing you can't handle. We've seen how this output of energy changes lives. And if you need more sleep, we will help you make that a priority.
